Skookum releases next iteration of Deep Color, a BBA Smoked Old Ale | May 13

Deep Color +
Soft as Snow

Skookum Brewery, Arlington
Aged 13 months in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels, Deep Color is a smoked old ale with flavors of preserved fruit, toffee, vanilla, tobacco and honey. Soft as Snow is a wheat and oat IPA brewed with Citra, Vic Secret and Sabro hops.

Deep Color available in 12-ounce bottles; both available for growler and crowler fills at the brewery.

Camango Cider

Camano Cider, Camano Island
The cidery’s first summer seasonal is a blend of mango and Centennial hops, giving it light floral and tropical notes.

Available at Tapped, Ale Spike and Mammoth Burger in Stanwood.

Nordic Haze

Reuben’s Brews, Ballard
Brewed with the historic Norwegin yeast strain Kviek and Comet and Citra hops, this beer has flavors of stone fruit and green mango.

Available at the brewery and select bottleshops.

Boysenberry Coolship Sour

Lucky Envelope Brewing, Ballard
Celebrating its 5th anniversary, LE took its blonde sour ale and barrel-fermented it on 42 pounds of boysenberries and then blended it with 24- and 18-month old reserve coolship sour barrels.

Available in 500-ml bottles at the brewery — limit 1.

Phase 5 IPA

Kulshan Brewing, Bellingham
The latest release in the brewery’s Hello, Goodbye series, this hazy is made with spelt malt and flaked oats for a pillowy mouthfeel and hopped with Mosaic, Azacca and El Dorado for juicy citrus notes.

Available in 12-ounce cans at the brewery.

A triple dry-hopped DIPA with Taiheke hops late in the kettle and Nelson Sauvin and Vic Secret hops in the fermenter.

Silver City releases chocolate goodness in time for Mother’s Day | May 7

Super Kwik Stout

Silver City Brewery, Bremerton
Aged for months in bourbon barrels, this stout is rested on cocoa, milk sugar, vanilla and coffee from a Kitsap coffee roaster.

Available in 500-ml bottles May 7 at the brewery.

Reuben’s Chocolate Box Series beers, Cognac Cordial and Raspberry Truffle, are imperial stouts aged in barrels and infused with decadent ingredients to make them resemble chocolate treats.

Wander Celebrates Anniversary with Double Can Release + Freemont’s Cellar Sale | April 30

Range Life + Mango Antlers

Wander Brewing, Bellingham
The folks from Wander are celebrating their sixth anniversary with a double can release this week: Range Life, a West Coast IPA, and one of its fan favorites, Mango Antlers, a juicy IPA. Range Life is a new beer brewed with Amarillo, Citra Cryo, Mosaic and Sabro hops.

Online pre-orders for both beers begin on Thursday 4/30 and can be picked up Friday 5/1.

BBADS Vertical Sale

Fremont Brewing, Fremont
Fremont Brewing is opening the cellar and selling a three-year vertical of its Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Star (2019, 2018, 2017). Aged in freshly dumped Kentucky bourbon barrels, BBADS is a blend of 24-, 18-, 12- and 8-month Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Star Imperial Oatmeal Stout.

The sale begins at noon on Thursday 4/30 and can be picked up the next day.

Light, bubbly and thirst-quenching, Kulshan’s Apero series has its latest iteration: Mango. Like the other Aperos, Mango Apero is low-calorie and gluten-reduced. Described as “mango up forward with a light and crisp malt character.”
